Barrett Marsden Gallery
(1 vote)

Barrett Marsden Gallery exhibits innovative work from nationally and internationally renowned artists whose conceptual interests are linked to concerns for skill, process and material. Much of this work transcends the formally defined boundaries of fine art, applied art and design and resists classification in any single category. A broad spectrum of media are involved: ceramics, glass, wood, cloth and metal.

Jardine Gallery and Workshop

Ceramic sculptor Julian Jardine established the Jardine Gallery and Workshop in 2008. As well as being an open studio where you can watch Julian at work it also features a wide range of very high quality artwork from around the UK and abroad.
The venue also provides Julian the opportunity to host classes in hand building in clay, drawing and painting.
Julian's own work features mainly individually modeled or limited edition ceramic pieces based on endangered species, fired to 1150 and finished using acrylics.
Work selected for the gallery is chosen to compliment this with a general theme of nature, landscapes and organic forms to create a relaxed and harmonious exhibition.
