Bath Pottery aka Mudslinger-Mills

My work is Wheel thrown and High Fired using either Gas or Wood Fired Kilns, and are primarily designed to be useful. As far as possible I use locally sourced materials for all aspects of my work. I also have more than a passing interest in building Kilns, usually small scale, designed to be built and operated by one or two people, and not needing a large team to fire them!

TRECARNE POTTERY is a love affair between Cornwall and a potter from the South of France. Quality, lightness of forms, the bright skies of the Lizard are all guaranteed in my work,be a simple cup or an elaborate vase. My own glazes are unique ( soda, ash and copper reds) I do like people to handle my work and discover all the nuances; nothing is obvious at first sight, just very plain shapes and then.... My aim is to provide a quality, craft made, feel good, anti gloom product at an affordable price. I am a Potter that enjoy good food so a lot of casseroles, dishes, oil jugs, and plenty receipies to share and YES I do hate been called a ceramist

The Stamford Bridge Pottery

have been potting now for more than 20 years, originally trained in traditional methods by Tony Clee at Clee Pottery in Eton, before his retirement in the late 80's. Fifteen years ago, I moved to the historic village of Stamford Bridge, site of the famous viking battle where Harold defeated Hardrada in 1066 before marching on to be defeated at Hastings. Here I have continued to keep the traditional art of stoneware pottery alive and couple my passion for production with teaching the next generation of potential master craftsmen.
